“Egg Milk Tree” (蛋奶樹) is a Western vegetarian restaurant situated in a small alley in the Zhongzheng (Chungcheng) District in Taipei, Taiwan.
EMT offers a variety of options for customers on different types of vegetarian diets
(including vegan, lacto-ovo-vegetarians, lacto-vegetarians, and ovo-vegetarians) and of course, anyone who is interested in vegetarian cuisine.
It is quite a small restaurant which can hold about 20 customers at the time I was there. My friend and I had to sit quite close to other customers. We didn’t mind the coziness of a small restaurant considering the winter season. Space is limited so making a reservation is recommended to ensure availability.
EMT offers a country-style atmosphere, with almost a full wall of ornaments.
Quite a few customers were taking pictures of the decorations with their gigantic professional cameras, including us.
When we were there, the majority of the customers were female. I suppose the decor and “cuteness” of this restaurant style attracts more attention from girls.
We ordered pasta and risotto combos. Portions for the main entrées were acceptable and not too filling, leaving some room for dessert.
It was a great dining experience for us with great food, a warm atmosphere and friendly service.
