Gmail 這陣子新增了幾個不錯的功能，譬如：支援 IMAP、Colored labels、支援 AIM（AOL Instant Messenger）、Group chat、New emoticons…等等，其中比較符合我的需求就是可以自訂標籤顏色了。
把標籤一一設定顏色之後，信件的分類更加清楚明瞭、一覽無疑，而整個 Gmail 介面看起來也變得很像 Google Calendar。
雖然 Gmail 新增的這些功能很便利，但美中不足的就是大部份的功能都限定要搭配 Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 以上版本才能使用，官方直接在『What’s new on Gmail?』頁面開頭就公告了：
AIM, colored labels, group chat, and rich emoticons only work in the latest version of Gmail, currently available for Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2. Please upgrade your browser to take advantage of these new features.
對於主力採用 Opera 的我，一點也沒辦法享受到福利，為什麼 Google 和 Opera 不能更麻吉一點咧？幾個重要的 Google 服務都不支援 Opera，只能期待未來的 Opera 9.5 能夠改善 Google 支援度了。
